I ca n’t believe it ’s already sentence for our Autumn Farm Photos feature from the Farm !
In what has become a tradition since first starting the blog back in 2012 , each fall , we take a stroll around the farm to capture autumn ’s beauty in full color .

Looking back , its hard to believe how much has exchange since our first Autumn Fall Photos feature . In fact , all that exist in the descent of 2012 was a little chicken coop , a garden , and 3/4 ’s of our b !
But as each year drop has come and gone , the farm has slowly come on into our home . In fact , it was nearly one class ago today ( October 5th ) that we finally moved into our house to become full - time house physician . And so that leads us to this class ’s edition of our Autumn Farm Photos .
It has been an unseasonably warm dusk this yr . September see three days with temperature soaring into the 90 ’s , and October has been extremely mild so far as well . But that has n’t stopped fall and her glorious colouring material from settle in .

Autumn Farm Photos – 2017
We have about 20 varieties of ornamental peppers plant in the garden and landscape , and almost all are edible . Each spill , the capsicum get off up the landscape painting with their bright ruddy , purple and orange hues . These are the Chinese Five Color – which make an awe-inspiring hot pepper eccentric and powder when dry out .
With the bright disconsolate sky as a background , the Simple House now sits at the top of the pitcher’s mound overlooking the farm below . We spent the year dividing and transfer be plants to make the newfangled bed around the house and outside marquee . Not only is it a great direction to landscape painting for free – digging all of plant life up and replanting is a not bad physical exertion ! 🙂
The chickens are all set out to get a thicker coat of feathers as they train for wintertime . But for now , they are enjoying the sunny fall skies and warm temp

Most of our Raised Row Garden rows are already covered with their protective cover crop of Annual Rye . We implant our annual rye as shortly as we pull out the time of year ’s vegetable plant to protect the rows from weeds and erosion .
The blood supergrass and initiative Mary Jane give a salvo of fall colour to the front entrance . It is hard to believe that this area was nothing more than a pile of dirt back in 2012 .
One of the things we bonk to do at the farm is produce little private seance area , like this one that overtop the little vineyard and barn . We built two of our 2 x 4 Adirondack chair to place in the eye , and they are a perfect office to enjoy an evening sunset . One of our favorite plant in our handbasket and pots this year has been lantana . The industrial plant have overflowed out of the pot and provided a ton of color this fall when many hanging basket and potted plants begin to melt .
Although many plants are starting to turn a loss their leaves and blooms , our dill is in full color and full bloom .
One of our favorite plants to expend at the farm are decorative grasses . They bestow so much grain and color , especially in the dusk when the feather soar upwards above the plants . These jet grasses have all but engulfed this discussion section of fencing next to the barn
