Catherine’s garden on Vancouver Island

Today ’s photo are from Catherine Campbell ( GrannyCC ) on Vancouver Island in British Columbia . Catherine says,“My hubby Hugh and I built our house in 1996 on 1/2 acre in a very rural area on Southern Vancouver Island . At the clip I was working at some commercial-grade glasshouse and was capable to get some serious deals on trees and hedging fabric . Also any perennial that did n’t have name on them were given to staff as they could n’t sell them without proper labels . For that rationality I think the garden was fairly well laid out before the house was even finished ! Over the years my married man add all the structures and the front logic gate .

“ My garden tend to be overgrown and English bungalow way . I have lots of beds and borders , a small pool , a vegetable garden and glasshouse . One of my sunflowers was around 10 feet marvellous this yr . The birds spread out the seminal fluid in the vegetable garden and after the first rototilling the seedlings come up and I transfer the industrial plant to the back of the layer so I have a marvellous display when I attend out my kitchen window . I also do numerous pots and hang baskets .

“ Earlier this fall my friend May ( GrannyMay ) came for a sojourn and take aim these endearing photograph . We impose each others gardens on a regular basis as well as spend many hours explore the public gardens and garden meat in our area on Vancouver Island .
