Beautiful gardens on a difficult site

My name is John Markowski , and I garden in Zone 6B in primal New Jersey . My prop is inundated withdeer , and the ground drains badly , so I ’ve built my garden aroundornamental grassesandnative perennials . The grasses are shining correctly now in compounding with the lento slump perennial .

Many garden peak in the spring with a vivid display of bright flowers , but this garden look awe-inspiring right now in the fall , with each industrial plant take on a subtly unlike chromaticity but all working together to end the year beautifully .

The unfolding stems ofMiscanthussinensis(Zones 5–9 ) have kick in way to their beautifulsilveryripening seed . Behind them is a dissimilar variety of the same grass , which is just maturing a little subsequently , so there ’s a dividing line between the different colour of ejaculate spike .

Thismiscanthushas bright variegated foliage that contrasts with the dark foliage around it . In the front left is a act of pinko from obedient plant(Physostegiavirginiana , Zones 3–9 ) , a wonderful and very long - blooming native perennial .

Sneezeweed(Heleniumautumnale , Zones 3–8 ) has colorful daisy bloom in shades of yellow , orangish , or red . But here , after the showy flower petal have flow , it takes on a subtler beauty of the fundamental yellow musket ball maturing decelerate into ripen germ . observe that the vernacular name for this native perennial is a bit misleading ; it is just one of the manynative plantswith show blossom that fall out to flower around the same time as ragweed , and so it gets charge for the ragweed allergies .

shine foliageand ripen seeds are doing what they do well .
