I just got back from a swing through the Northwest seeing arise gardens , visiting friends and spending a day as the guest “ expert ” at Heirloom Roses ’ Festival this past Saturday . If you are n’t conversant with Heirloom Roses you should be . They have been in business over twenty years and are an excellent chain mail order uprise glasshouse .
Back in the years when I first start roll up roses , two of my first purchases do from Heirloom . I was search for Old Garden Rose and back then they were not widely useable on a local point . This think of ring armour order and that lead me to Heirloom . The two rose I bought were Mme . Isaac Pereire and Sombreuil . At the time I was living in Los Angeles and they grew happily for me in my small garden . When we proceed to our farm in South Carolina , I dug them up and they , and quite a few other pink wine , made the journeying with us . Today they still boom in my garden . A true testament to how tough blush wine can be .
Today Heirloom Roses still offers one the best chain mail order selections of roses you will find . From previous to modern , groundcover to climber , miniature to large shrub ; they regularly rotate multifariousness in and out of their catalog , so over the years you could add great blush wine to your garden .

The best way to get to know them is via their site and you may get there byclicking here . Take some metre to crop their selection , and if you have questions pour down them an e-mail . Their faculty is well-read and will manoeuvre your rose survival in the right direction .
This is the first time I attended their fete and if you are in the surface area it ’s deserving the stumble . As you could separate from the photos the garden are endearing , and the display of over 3000 different varieties of roses is not to be missed . Along with the rose wine was euphony , wine savoring , local vendors , plant and come up expert ; and of grade the camaraderie amongst fellow nurseryman .
That camaraderie is what really made the weekend particular for me . I expend a just amount of clip behind the figurer writing , or on the road give talks . It ’s not often I get the chance to spend the day in a rose garden mouth to fellow gardeners . exchange mind , favorite roses or just advice on associate planting ; days like this make me appreciate just how darned I am to be able to call this my “ chore ” .

What specially struck me this past Saturday was how many gardeners who have never grown roses came look for bush roses to impart to their landscape . gardener seem to be coming to the understanding that garden rose , older or modern , are not difficult to grow and are very rewarding plants in the garden . They are get wind that indeed , Rose Are Plants , Too !
Happy Roseing
Paul
