High summer blooms
Today we ’re visiting Carla Z. Mudry in Malvern , Pennsylvania . Carla is share the profusion of flowers she enjoyed in her garden inJuly .
July mean even more flowers ! And I must admit that I am loving the prime this twelvemonth , even if everything is on its own weird docket thanks to the conditions . It ’s all aboutdayliliesandconeflowersandgaillardia , lilies , hydrangea , crocosima , and more ! Everything is growing with a dotty flowered abandon , but it ’s so passably ! Every day there is something different to look at , and I mean that is part of the looker of doing acottage - styleor layered garden . We have also had our fair part of sudden and very crazy rainstorms that have done some damage , but so far the garden is find nicely and blossom on .
A gorgeous lily ( Liliumhybrid , Zones 4–9 )

Each peak on this rich ruby day lily ( Hemerocallishybrid , Zones 4–9 ) lasts only one sidereal day , but they make up for it by farm so many flowers and thriving so effortlessly .
Bee unguent ( Monardadidyma , Zones 4–8 ) is a wonderful aboriginal perennial with some of the bright red-faced flush out there .
The garden path has almost evaporate in the teemingness of summer blooms .

This little plant goes by many public figure ( for instance , confect lily , belamcanda ) , but most phytologist agree that it is actually a species of iris : Irisdomestica(Zones 5–9 ) . Like those of a daylily , the cheery prime only last one day , but they are produced in huge number and are surveil up by clump of attractive shining black seed .
Carla had an artist translate a dead tree in her garden into a beautiful carving . I love these foxes half - hide out behind plants .
There are so many daylily multifariousness that you could find one to suit nearly any color scheme and gustation .

stratum upon layer of plants keep this garden beautiful and full of interest .
Contrasting colors andtexturesof foliation make a space that call for no prime for sweetheart .
A bright daylily prime is paired with the acute red of crocosmia ( Crocosmia‘Lucifer ’ , Zones 5–9 ) .

A shaded bench to sit and take it all in
