I had 170 rosebush , and as a plantaholic , I had countless plants and bulb . We had a magnificent persuasion of Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta .
On July 26 , 2018 , the Carr Wildfire tore through our arena and directly destroyed our brand prefab house and the garden . fortuitously , I constantly took photos of the garden , the menage , and the many arrangement I had made over the years . I be after to write a book , mostly a painting Good Book , titledEpitaph of a Much Loved Home and Garden .

We have sell this attribute , which now looks like war zone , and bought a nine - class - old dwelling house on the other side of Ithiel Town with a nice , small garden . At 80 , I will bear on and stay on my dearest of gardening . I was capable to dig up about a dozen mini roses that survived not only the fire but three hot months with no weewee . They are alive and vigorous , in flowerpot , wait to be institute in their new garden .
