Evelyn Castro - Lake shared these wonderful images of her cottage - style garden in north - west Illinois . Her garden is full of classic garden divas like rose and lilies , but she choose tough , diseases resistance varieties that boom in her conditions without the want for atomizer .

The roses she chiefly plant are from the Canadian IE serial : ‘ William Baffin ’ ( fuschia , on the left ) and ‘ John Davis ’ ( pink , on the right ) along with a climbing miniature uprise ‘ Jeanne Lejoie ’ ( pink , on the left wing . )
