UK agriculturist now have access to three new product , to target and control ‘ Grey Mould and Powdery Mildew ’ in ornamentals , and stop aphid attack on peppers and chilli .
The exploitation was made as a result of two interrelated AHDB program representing an investment funds of £ 3.35 million over four twelvemonth to test , trial and gain approval for ware to help growers protect craw .

AHDB Crop Protection Scientist , Bolette Palle Neve , say : “ Over recent days , ornamental growers have faced serious challenge due to the personnel casualty of product to control disease like Botrytis and Powdery Mildew , which can importantly compromise crop quality .
“ Growers may already be using Prolectus and Frupica SC to protect other crop , but through our EAMU Programme , we have now been able to extend their employment for ornamental .
“ From this class , chilli and pepper growers will be able to use Mainman to control aphids as a result of yet another successful EAMU program . This product was trialled in SCEPTREplus and found to be a very effective discussion to protect crop against the pest .

“ The SCEPTREplus trials generate valuable data , which we can use to inform the EAMU Programme , ensuring the horticultural diligence persist fat and can take on the challenges nature presents with effective solutions . ”
ADAS Plant Pathologist , Dave Kaye , carried out trial on eight products include Frupica SC and Prolectus , for Botrytis control .
