That was the approximation when Hanspeter Hug , owner of BellaFlor Group in Ecuador and Ethiopia sent out a missive last week , see below . With FloralDaily , he also shares his personal experience , how he , by stroke , had early awareness of the seriousness of the virus and their farm is respond to it .

" Purely by accident , I had early cognisance of the sincerity of the virus .
On the first of March , I was on my fashion back to Ecuador from Denver Co. with a lay - over in Dallas . I was alone - with 3 of my grandchild . The unseasoned one is 4 . I was stress ! I´m not very salutary at this . The last time , I did this - I lose them - in the Miami Airport and only plant them , after what seemed years , - with the help of the Airport police force .
There were gazillion of people in both Airports . The eatery all packed to the last seats . Joviality and Party Atmosphere ! Brobdingnagian lines at the security system stations . Not a somebody with a mask or societal distancing . Most flights delayed , as was ours .
finally after a long Clarence Day and night travel we arrived at 2 in the morning at the gorgeous unexampled Quito Airport . To my surprise , at this hour - and this in Ecuador - the Airport was at full red alert .
faculty raiment like spaceman , clad complete in white credit card , mask and helmets - split up us . Other team with modernistic thermometer contract everybody ’s temperature , while others sprayed our hands thoroughly .
The next day at the farm I ring our in - house doctor and the key squad appendage . We bought a twelve of the same thermometer that I had seen at the airdrome , and tons of hand sanitizers , planned societal distancing and all the usual well published amount .
Since the 3rd of March we do not meet visitors and every employee ’s temperature is taken and hands spray before entering Bellaflor . Everybody wear masks . Our Dr. walks all day through our installation and delay the distancing and the use of goods and services of the sanitizers that we have placed throughout the farm . Whether these touchstone work - time will tell .
The alter rooms , canteen , coolers , bathrooms and buses turn out to be the most complicated areas to organize and constantly sanitize . We have not fired anybody but work with a belittled staff . For now , this is in fault . Everybody takes their holiday and or due extra time . We work 7 alternatively of 8 hours day by day , but - MOSTLY JUST see OUR COMPOSTS GROW . appease SAVE ! "
